Multiple Uses:
- Read alone or practice reading with a partner. Partners can keep track of how many words are read correctly. The child reads the word shown on the front of the robot slide card. The partner looks at the back of the slide and is able to see if the child read the word correctly. The word read is shown below the bottom slot on the back.
- Reading races are fun. Use a stop watch and record how long it takes to read a word strip.
- Read a word then use it in a sentence.
- One child reads a word and then hands the robot to a friend. The friend holds the robot as the child spells the word. The friend then lets the child know if the word was spelled correctly.
